Electric Rough Terrain Pallet Truck

Pushing and pulling heavy loads can be tiring, and put physical stress on staff, and doing so over rough terrain, can make a difficult task seem near impossible.  This is why we offer our customers in Farming, construction, and any other harsh terrain environments, the LTRTE1200 Electric Rough Terrain Pallet Truck, which is a purpose built item for rough terrain, not something that has had some modifications.

The LTRTE1200 Electric Rough Terrain Pallet Truck, features a wide stance for stability, and to enable it, to handle both Euro and Chep pallets; large wheels with deep treads for ground clearance and traction; and it is able to handle 1200kg.  Furthermore, with its powerful electric motor it does the hard work – you simply steer and push buttons to move your loads from “A” to “B”.

A simple yet reassuringly heavy 262KG construction, highlights how the LTRTE1200 Electric Rough Terrain Pallet Truck, has been built to last.  If the LTRTE1200 Electric Rough Terrain Pallet Truck, cannot traverse your ground, then you probably need a telehandler forklift truck; we can supply these but they are a lot more expensive.

For further details of the LTRTE1200 Electric Rough Terrain Pallet Truck, see the link below:

High Lift Pallet Truck

The High Lift Pallet Truck is versatile, yet relatively inexpensive item of Warehouse, and assembly line equipment.

They can be used like a conventional Pallet Truck to move loads along your warehouse, but when it comes to elevating the load the High Lift Pallet Truck can lift far higher - up to 800mm, this makes it useful for those looking for a picking and packaging tool; be that in a warehouse or at the end of an assembly/production line.  As the operator is better able to keep the load at a comfortable height, thus reducing the fatigue, which can lead to injury.

High Lift Pallet Trucks are very easy to use, and do not require a licence to operate, however we do recommend that operators are familiarised with these products prior to use.

Another key feature of High Lift Pallet Trucks like our HL540M model, which benefits those looking to use them for picking/packing is that when elevated above 400mm the pallet truck automatically jacks its wheels off the ground for stability and safety to prevent loads being pushed around elevated. This effectively acts as a brake.

Our HL540M High Lift Pallet Trucks has a 1000kg capacity and is available from stock

HIGH LIFT PALLET TRUCK

An import thing to not is that high lift pallet trucks are only designed to be used with Euro Pallets which are open at the bottom; so we do not recommend their use with closed bottom pallets like CHEPs.

PALLET TYPE

If a High Lift Pallet Truck is the right choice for your warehousing/assembly line/picking or packing operation, then you are on the right website –we have a variety to choose from and are available on 03333 207208, should you require further advise.

Manual Pallet Stackers - why are they becoming more popular?

Manual Pallet Stackers like our WMS1000-3000 can packs a lot of ability (in the case of the WMS1000-3000: 1000kg capacity and 3m lift height) into a very low priced piece of Handling Equipment. Below we look in further depth at the reasons why our manual stackers, like the WMS1000-3000 are so popular.

Manual Pallet Stacker

Manual Stackers are by far the most cost effective solution for customers who only rarely need to move goods from different height levels, whether it’s unloading or storing at height.

The reasons for this are simple:

1. Firstly they are low in cost to purchase and maintain.

2. Manual Pallet Stackers are easy to use (see video below).

3. They do not require an operator’s licence, (although familiarisation with the product is recommended before use).

4. No need to worry about batteries running out and having chargers installed – as they don’t use them.

5. Robustness and reliability through simple design (the absences of complicated electronics means that there is simply less that can go wrong).

6. Compact design – generally speaking Manual Pallet Stackers have the smallest necessary foot print required to get the job of un/racking done, especially so for Manual Fork Over Stackers, like the WMS1000-3000 handling Euro Pallets.

Considerations that customers should bear in mind when looking to order a Manual stacker, are:

Usage – if your operation requires multiple high lifts every day; then either a semi-electric or full electric stacker would be advisable (see links below), as these do the lifting for the operator.

Semi-Electric StackerFully Powered Electric Stacker

Gradients/slopes – if you have these in the stackers operating area then a full electric stacker with good gradability is recommended (see link below), as the powered drive takes the strain away from the operator.

Pramac GX Range

The pallets being handled – this is a key consideration – regardless of whether it is a Manual Pallet Stacker, Semi-electric Pallet Stacker or Full Electric Pallet Stacker, a “Wrap Over style” also known as “Fork Over” Stacker will only handle open bottomed Euro Pallets. So if you want to handle closed bottom Pallets like CHEPS then you need a Straddle Stacker (see Link Below). See the link HERE where this is explained in further detail:

Fully Powered Straddle Stacker

Lastly the staff who will be operating the Manual Pallet Stacker – what some staff may find physically easy; other may struggle with.

If a Manual Pallet Stacker is the right choose for your warehousing operation, then you are on the right website –we have a variety to choose from and are available on FREEPHONE: 03333 207208, should you require further advise.

The Spartans Have Arrived!

Our eagerly awaited Spartan range of Semi-electric Pallet Trucks (powered drive, but manual pump to lift/lower) and Full Electric Pallet Trucks (powered Drive and powered lift/lower), have now arrived into stock.

At the entry level to the range we have the incredibly well priced SPARTAN15SE, a Semi-Electric Pallet truck with 1500kg capacity.  As part of the SPARTAN range it features a quick change li-on battery; and a robust chassis.  Designed and built with a deliberate simplicity in mind; the semi-electric SPARTAN15SE, makes good use of reliable mechanical engineering, so there are fewer possibilities for things to go wrong; whilst using its battery to do the hard part of the job – pushing/pulling the load.

At the High Performance end of the range we have the SPARTAN15E a powered 1500kg Capacity Full-electric Pallet Truck with a 48v Motor (twice the power of many of it’s rivals), giving Slope climbing/gradability performance of 6% Laden; 20% Unladen.  This high performance gives you greater versatility, when you need it. Featuring both powered drive and lifting the SPARTAN15E, eases the workload on your staff.

SPARTAN FULL ELECTRIC PALLET TRUCK

As part of the SPARTAN range both models are strong yet compact enabling them to operate in tight spaces, and feature a quick change li-on battery for greater productivity; and a robust chassis for greater durability so you can use your SPARTAN Powered Pallet Truck with confidence.

IMPORTANT NOTE: As with all Material Handling Equipment we would always recommend that all organisations have their own Health & Safety Risk Assessment conducted, prior to use.

Genie Lift - GL4

The Genie Lift is probably the ultimate Drivers Mate, as it can be used as a Hand Truck, Dolly and Light Lifter.

https://www.pallet-trucks.co.uk/stackers-manual-stackers/genie-lift.html

It has the strength to lift 227kg, which is more than enough for a lot other the lighter loads used in multi-drop deliveries, or for the tools of a variety of tradespeople, saving multiple carries and lifts into the back of works vans.

What about the weight of the Genie Lift GL4 itself, I hear you say, well this is only 57kg and with the wheels at the top of the GL4’s mast, it can be tilted back and lifted one end, then slid onto the back of your vehicle.

As for its lift height, this is 1.8 meters; so this tops off an impressive package of performance, for a relatively low price on a high quality Genie Product.

Operation is physically and mechanically simple via a hand winch and whilst we recommend that all users are suitably familiarised with its operation, the GL4 does not require an operators licence.

So in summery the Genie Lift GL4 is:

  • - Versatile
  • - Strong yet Lightweight
  • - Easy to use
  • - Relatively inexpensive
  • - Trusted High Quality from Genie

What’s more it’s a great investment for your business, as it can do the work of multiple other products and can potentially reduce the number of staff that you need for jobs.

As with all Material Handling Equipment we would always recommend that all organisations have their own Health & Safety Risk Assessment conducted, prior to use.

Pallet Truck Troubleshooter Guide: 102

This is the second in a series of Pallet Truck faultfinding and problem solving.

You can see the first in the series via the link below:

https://www.pallet-trucks.co.uk/blog/Pallet-Truck-Troubleshooter-Guide-101/

In series 101 we discussed issues with the Pallet Trucks not raising; now in series 102 we will look at pallet trucks that do not lower.

We have found this to be the second most common, fault with pallet trucks, and that in the vast majority of case is can be fixed so quickly, and so easily.

There is a chain that runs internally through the tiller arm, from the Release Trigger on the Handle to the Release Valve Lever, and sometimes this may get knocked lose, perhaps in transit, etc.

The bottom of this chain has a nut and bolt, and you simply have to ensure that they are running through groove in the Release Valve Lever, as shown in the picture below:

Troubleshooting Guide

As when handling any Handling Equipment, please ensure that that you first have your own Health & Safety Risk Assessment conducted.
