About the Role
What’s your job title, and what does your role involve?
I’m a sales apprentice (but not for too much longer!). I support the sales team with quotes and orders and help customers find the right solution for their needs. I also help run our advertising and post on the Liftruck social media accounts — so if you’ve ever voted in a forklift poll, seen one of our sales updates, or read real customer feedback, that’s me behind the scenes.
How long have you been part of the Liftruck team?
I joined in May 2024, so I’ve been here just over a year now—and I’ve learned more acronyms than I ever thought possible.
What’s your favourite thing about your role?
I love seeing how everything fits together—from marketing and sales to logistics and customer support. It’s like a giant puzzle, and I get to help complete it (without losing any pieces under the table).
What’s one tool, product, or bit of kit you couldn’t live without?
Outlook. My calendar is basically my second brain at this point. If it’s not scheduled, it’s not happening.
On the Job
Describe your job in 3 words:
Busy, varied, rewarding.
What’s your proudest moment at Liftruck so far?
Definitely finishing my end-point assessment for the apprenticeship. It was a big deal — lots of coffee, even more tabs open, and I survived to tell the tale. Now I’m just waiting for the results (no pressure!).
If your job had a theme song, what would it be?
“Club Tropicana” – Wham!
Because work should be fun, right? And if I could do quotes poolside with a mocktail, I absolutely would.
Just for Fun
What’s your forklift operator nickname (if you had one)?
“Second Thought” — because I like to double-check things, and then… double-check again. I don’t panic; I just prefer precision.
If the team were in a heist movie, what would your role be?
Definitely the planner. I’d have the timeline colour-coded, the risks mapped out, and snacks packed for everyone. No chaos, no surprises — just smooth execution and maybe a motivational playlist.
Pineapple on pizza – yes or no?
Absolutely not. I believe in boundaries, and that one has been crossed.
What’s the most-used app on your phone?
WhatsApp, Spotify, and LinkedIn — with the occasional panic scroll through my camera roll looking for that one screenshot I forgot to save.
What’s your go-to brew and biscuit combo?
Espresso-style coffee: one teaspoon of coffee, two sweeteners, a splash of milk — and honestly, any biscuit will do as long as it balances the caffeine with sugar and good vibes.
Outside Work
What do you like to do in your spare time?
Sewing (usually successfully), spending time with family and friends, hunting down the best coffee spots, and doing escape rooms — because escaping a fake room under pressure is great training for busy inbox days.
Tell us one fun or surprising fact about you:
I’ve dyed my hair every colour of the rainbow. Not all at once — I’m committed to variety, not chaos.
If you weren’t doing this job, what would you be doing instead?
Something still in sales or marketing. I love being involved from the first conversation to the final order — with a bit of organisation, communication, and humour in between.
